Releases: August 2025
Welcome to the Releases, where we reflect on all key updates of casepal in each past month. During August, the focus was on drastically improving capacity and refining the user experience across Assistant and the casepal suite of tools. Finally, we introduced the Library Picker and integrated Library Search to the Agentic Legal Research capabilities of Assistant.
Expanded capacity across tools
Expanded the file/text capacity of casepal across tools, enabling you to work effectively with even more information.
5x Increased Capacity in Assistant, Summarize, and Simplify
We have fundamentally expanded the analytical capacity of Assistant, Summarize and Simplify, moving from approximately 400-page document analysis to over 2,000 pages per session.
This enhancement enables you to conduct comprehensive analysis across substantially larger document sets, enabling you to review extensive discovery materials, analyze complex regulatory frameworks, or conduct due diligence across multiple extensive contracts, all within one session.
25 documents per query
We have increased the maximum document upload limit from 10 to 25 documents per Assistant query, enabling completion of more comprehensive multi-document analysis tasks with a single prompt.
Now, with the expanded 25-document limit, you can upload and analyze entire matter files simultaneously, enabling casepal to conduct comprehensive cross-referencing, identify patterns across multiple agreements, and provide holistic analysis that considers the full scope of relevant documentation.

3x Increased Capacity in Translations
We have significantly expanded the translation capacity from approximately 64 pages to over x pages per operation, representing a 3x increase in processing capability.
Now, you can translate entire complex legal documents, such as a comprehensive international merger agreement, a complete set of policy materials, or extensive regulatory documentation in a single operation while maintaining terminological consistency and preserving legal context throughout the entire document.
The comparison demonstrates the significant increase in analytical capabilities:

Refining Interfaces and performance across tools
Simpler yet more effective email interface
We have simplified the email tool interface to create a more intuitive and efficient drafting experience.
You can now directly prompt the tool, attach correspondence history, upload documentation, or select library sources, create your writing style, and set up the length of the email and tone all within a unified, user-friendly interface that eliminates additional navigation steps.

Updated and consistent Summarize and Simplify
Summarize and Simplify now feature updated and consistent interfaces, while their performance has been refined, allowing you to tailor output more effectively by specifying scope, target audience, or even custom queries.
The enhanced interfaces provide greater control over output parameters, enabling you to generate summaries and simplifications that precisely match your intended use case, whether for expanding firm knowledge, client communications, internal briefings, or executive presentations.

Refined Translation engines
We have introduced a more consistent translation interface and released two distinct translation modes:
- Standard legal translation for longer documents requiring efficient and contextually aware legal translation.
 - Annotated legal translation for shorter extracts requiring annotated legal terminology explanations that preserve cross-jurisdictional context.

These enhancements ensure that whether you're working with extensive foreign legal documents or need detailed explanations of specific legal concepts across different jurisdictions, you have the appropriate translation approach for your specific requirements.

Application Wording Refinements
We refined wording throughout the casepal application to improve clarity and consistency across all user interfaces. These refinements make navigation more intuitive by ensuring that system communications use clear and simple professional language.
Redefining how you can leverage internal data
Introducing the Library picker
We have introduced an intuitive Library Picker that enables you to directly contextualize Assistant and other tools with sources from your library.
This feature reduces uploading times and enables you to better leverage firm-specific data and insights. In Assistant, you can select up to 25 library documents per query, creating seamless integration between your firm's institutional knowledge and casepal's analytical capabilities.

Library search is now part of Agentic Legal Research
Building upon last month's release of Agentic Legal Research, we have now integrated library search capabilities into our proprietary research framework.
Agentic Legal Research now combines frontier research capabilities across both publicly available legal sources and your firm's internal library, creating a unified research approach that leverages both external legal authorities and internal institutional knowledge.
This integration enables casepal to reason and determine the optimal research strategy for your query, seamlessly combining and analyzing insights from authoritative public sources with relevant firm-specific precedents, templates, and prior analysis.
