Releases: Summer 2026
Welcome to the Releases, where we reflect on all key product updates in casepal. This summer edition arrives weeks after the spring releases and introduces three substantial advancements: significantly expanded coverage for Agentic Legal Research across global jurisdictions, intuitive personal and organizational analytics, and targeted refinements across review, Assistant, and built-in workflows.
Global Jurisdiction Coverage
Expanded Agentic Legal Research
Broader coverage, deeper sources, smarter retrieval
Agentic Legal Research now has native indexed access to legislation and case law from thousands of governmental websites and official sources across hundreds of jurisdictions worldwide.
This includes all EU member states and EU-level sources, all US states and federal law, and an extensive range of international jurisdictions including Canada, Australia, China, Japan, and Saudi Arabia, among many others.
Unified Research Across Three Source Types
Agentic Legal Research now operates across a unified framework of three source types in a single research process:
Internal knowledge: Your firm's institutional expertise, precedents, and templates, accessed natively through SharePoint or your document management system via casepal Integrations.
Primary legal sources: Legislation and case law retrieved through native indexed access to official governmental and legal sources across the world.
Secondary and real-time sources: Commentary, regulatory guidance, and up-to-date information retrieved through live web search.
When you submit a research query, casepal reasons through the optimal strategy, determining which source types to engage and in what sequence, to deliver a comprehensive, well-grounded response.

Hybrid Retrieval Algorithms
All casepal research engines now use multiple algorithmic approaches in combination, retrieving the most relevant information both semantically and through keyword matching. This hybrid approach improves precision across diverse query types, from conceptual questions to specific citation lookups.
Analytics
Data-driven visibility into how casepal is used across your organization
Effective deployment of AI within a law firm or in-house team requires more than access to capable tools. It requires insight. Since day one, supporting the effective adoption of casepal across our partnering organizations has been a core priority.
This summer, we are introducing intuitive analytics across both personal and organizational usage, giving you and your leadership team a clear, data-driven view of how casepal is being used and where it is delivering value.

What You Can Track
Analytics surfaces actionable data across key dimensions, including:
Usage by solution: understand which casepal tools are driving the most activity across your team
Documents processed: track the volume of materials your organization is running through the ecosystem
Pages analyzed: measure the depth of document engagement over time
Trends over time: observe usage patterns to identify adoption momentum or areas for further enablement
These insights enable administrators and practice group leads to make informed decisions about deployment, training priorities, and organizational AI strategy, grounding those decisions in real usage data.
Refinements Across the Ecosystem
Precision improvements to Tabular Review, Assistant, and built-in workflows
Manual Verification in Tabular Review
Data extraction and flagging in Tabular Review no longer operates exclusively through agentic processes. You can now manually flag what you have verified directly within the table, establishing a clear record of your review.

Colleagues accessing the same matter can instantly preview the verification state of each item, providing deal-level visibility into what has been confirmed, what remains under review, and where attention is still needed.
Source Outlining in Assistant
When the Assistant draws on your casepal Library, it now surfaces the specific passage of content that informed each response, displayed inline with citations, mirroring the source outlining already available in Tabular Review.
This gives you direct visibility into the exact material casepal referenced, making it easier to verify, build upon, or challenge the Assistant's output.
More Built-In Workflows
We have expanded the range of built-in workflow examples available across both Tabular Review and Assistant. These additions provide a stronger starting point for professionals new to casepal, as well as experienced users looking to apply the tools to a broader set of matter types and task categories.
